About Dr. Jha

I’m a physician, scientist, and former White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator — and I’ve spent my career at the intersection of medicine, policy, and public health. Under President Biden, I led the nation’s pandemic response through its final phases, while working to build a more durable biosecurity infrastructure for the threats that will inevitably follow.

That experience convinced me of two things: We are dangerously under-prepared for the next biological threat, and fixing that requires more than government action alone. That’s why I recently co-founded BioRadar, a biointelligence company that integrates multiple data streams to give health systems, governments, and communities real-time intelligence about circulating pathogens before hospitals start filling up. We’re building the detection layer the country needs and doesn’t yet have.

I’m also a Senior Fellow at Harvard’s Belfer Center, where my work focuses on biosecurity and pandemic preparedness — because understanding what’s coming requires serious, independent research alongside the work of building solutions.
